Our health is the most important thing to look after. It determines whether you will live happily or struggle with health issues. From exercising to eating a balanced diet, the body requires care for us to feel alive and good. Good health is important for handling depression, stress, and even anxiety. If you wish to live a long healthy and active life, you must make sure that your health is taken good care of. Our body will regularly send signals especially when something is not very right but many end up ignoring it. You get enough sleep

You will know that you are healthy when you get enough sleep. Lack of enough sleep can put you in a much riskier state. You run the risk of contracting diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and excessive weight gain among other conditions. Not sleeping enough can also decrease a person’s life expectancy. A proper night’s sleep is very essential for good health. If possible, you should sleep at least eight hours a day. Make it a routine just to make sure that you are having a healthy sleep routine.

Optimal blood pressure

Maintaining optimal blood pressure is also a good sign that you are very healthy. Blood pressure for a normal person is expected to be 120/80. It is very important to know that the pressure in our blood is generated by our heart. In simple terms, the heart function is what gives rise to the pressure that is needed to pump blood to veins and arteries. When our blood is more than 120/80, that is an indicator that we are not very healthy. If the blood pressure is lower than expected, that is also another indicator of poor health. It is very important to be checking your blood pressure more often.

Normal temperature

You will also tell that you are healthy by checking your temperature. The temperature will not purely measure whether you are not healthy or not but it is one of the indicators. When your temperatures are too high, that is a sign of not being healthy and when the temperatures are very low, that is also a sign of poor health. A normal human being should have a maximum temperature of 37 degrees Celsius.

The heart rate

To find out whether you are healthy or not, you should test your heart rate. Normally, the lower the heart rate, the healthier you are. When you are very healthy, your heart rate should be around the 30s and lower 40s per minute for athletes but for other people, the heart rate can be 60 to 100 beats per minute. If you feel like your heartbeat is so fast, it is high time that you consider visiting a doctor.
